Kristina and Jacob’s wedding took place on April 7, 2018, at the Venues of the Grand Reserve’s Distillery Square in downtown Lexington, Kentucky. Spring was just starting to show off its beautiful flowering trees. Kristina looked gorgeous in her lace dress under the pink cherry blossoms. We loved all of her details from her beautiful jewelry to her brooch bouquet. Jacob looked dapper in his navy suit and gold tie. Their ceremony was held at the Grand Reserve’s Distillery Square under lit drapery and a chandelier. The groom is a police officer and so they decided to have the ring bearer and flower girl proceed down the aisle in a miniature cop car to the tv shop COPS theme song “Bad Boys.” It was by far one of the cutest entrances we have ever seen. At the end of their ceremony, the best man and maid of honor launched streamer cannons to celebrate the happy couple saying I do. Their reception hall was beautifully decorated. Each table had a gorgeous tall centerpiece filled with cream roses, pale pink roses, green tea roses, and carnations. We had so much fun taking Kristina and Jacob out for sunset photos to celebrate their special day. They are both so sweet and it is so evident how in love they are with each other. The rest of the night was spent dancing and celebrating with their sweet loved ones.
Jacob and Kristina met each other at work but never had thought about dating. One day they started talking about work stuff when they somehow got off subject. Kristina thought that Jacob might be flirting with her but she ignored it. After a few months, the flirting turned into talking every day along with Jacob trying to work the same schedule. Jacob’s sweet charming ways convinced Kristina to start dating him. From that point on they never left each other’s side. On Labor Day in 2017, Kristina and Jacob decided to have their friends and family over for a party. They knew from the beginning of their relationship that they were meant to be together. Kristina wondered if he would propose at the party, but on the day of the party, she didn’t think much about it. During the party, both of their parents left for about 10 minutes and then returned. Both of their Moms told Kristina that they had lost their phones. Kristina was a little confused and could tell something was up. Jacob then came through the front door and got down on one knee and proposed! Make sure to visit their engagement session blog below to read more about their love story! We feel so honored that Kristina and Jacob asked us to capture their special day and tell their love story. We have loved getting to know them and their sweet family and friends.
