Surprise Engagement Proposal at the Kentucky Castle in Versailles, KY

Landon proposed to his girlfriend Renee’ at the gorgeous and iconic Kentucky Castle located in Versailles, Kentucky. They first met through a mutual friend in high school. Landon and Renee’ talked for a little while, dated some, but because he was moving 2 hours away to play baseball at LSUE and she was entering her senior year of high school, they never officially began a relationship. Fast forward about seven years, Renee’ was going to a wedding with some of their mutual friends, and she invited Landon to go with her. Unfortunately, he could not go and went fishing instead. This sparked some interest again, and a few weeks later, Landon invited Renee’ to get coffee after work and catch up since they were working a few miles apart in Baton Rouge, and she said, “how bout dinner?” The rest is history. Together Landon and Renee’ love to hang out with family, friends, going to church, trying new restaurants, do anything outdoors (hiking, biking, tennis, basketball, evening walks), and going to the movies.

Landon knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Renee’. So we were so excited when he called us and asked us to capture his engagement proposal at The Kentucky Castle. They had traveled with Renee’s parents to Kentucky for a family vacation. Landon planned dinner at the Kentucky Castle. They arrived at 7 for what Renee’ thought was the reservation time. When they checked in, they were told they were getting a table together for them, but they were free to explore the castle grounds. Landon took Renee’ by the hand and asked if she wanted to go look around. As soon as they stepped outside, Landon told Renee’ she would have to put up with him giving her lots of compliments without rolling her eyes and led her past the fountain to a particular spot. Landon then stopped and took hold of Renee’s hands and said lots of sweet things about her and their relationship. Landon then dropped to one knee and pulled out a ring, and asked Renee’ if she would marry him. Of course, she said yes! Renee’s parents were able to watch the entire proposal and celebrate with them.

The engagement ring is very sentimental and was Renee’s great aunt’s ring. After meeting Landon, she fell in love with him and wanted to give the ring to Landon to give to Renee’. It will be a sweet reminder of her family for generations to come. Congratulations Renee’ and Landon! It was such a joy to be a part of capturing your romantic proposal. You all were so fun to be around, and we could see just how perfect you are for each other. We are so happy for you and wish you a lifetime of love, happiness, adventure, and fairytales (Like Your Epic Proposal)!
