Early Spring Engagement Session at Gratz Park in Lexington, Kentucky

Kristina and Jacob’s engagement session was in early spring in downtown Lexington, Kentucky. We started off their session at Gratz Park. We love Gratz Park because of all of the beautiful historic houses. There were some gorgeous trees flowering around the park. We had so much fun getting to know Kristina and Jacob. We loved hearing all about their love story. After Gratz Park, we headed to some other neat places downtown like the Lincoln Mural and Manchester Street.

Jacob and Kristina met each other at work but never had thought about dating. One day they started talking about work stuff when they somehow got off subject. Kristina thought that Jacob might be flirting with her but she ignored it. After a few months, the flirting turned into talking every day along with Jacob trying to work the same schedule. Jacob persisted that they should meet up after work one day and finally, she decided to give him a chance. On their first date, they decided to go to Louisville. Dating was forbidden in their workplace and so they thought it would be the perfect place to not be around anyone they knew. Sure enough when they arrived their manager was at the same restaurant. It was the most awkward and stressful dinner because they both thought they might lose their jobs. They told everyone that they were just friends. Jacob’s sweet charming ways convinced Kristina to secretly start dating him. From that point on they never left each other’s side.

On Labor Day in 2017, Kristina and Jacob decided to have their friends and family over for a party. They had both already picked out the engagement ring a couple of months prior. They knew from the beginning of their relationship that they were meant to be together. Kristina wondered if he would propose at the party, but on the day of the party, she didn’t think much about it. During the party, both of their parents left for about 10 minutes and then returned. Both of their Moms told Kristina that they had lost their phones. Kristna was a little confused and could tell something was up. Jacob then came through the front door and got down on one knee and proposed! We are so excited to celebrate with Kristina and Jacob on their wedding day this spring at the Grand Reserve’s Distillery Square. Be sure to check back to see the rest of their love story unfold soon!
