Bethany and Mike were married on a beautiful August day in Lexington, Kentucky. When we first met Mike and Bethany we could tell right away that they were simply two of the sweetest people we had ever met. Both being so gracious and fun we knew that their wedding day was going to be a blast. Bethany started her special day off at her parent’s house with all of her best friends and family. We loved Bethany’s lace dress and cathedral veil. She looked absolutely breathtaking! Bethany’s bridesmaids were dressed in long navy dresses and their bouquets were filled with vibrant orange and yellow flowers, greenery, and long gold ribbons. Mike looked dapper in his gray tux and white bowtie and suspenders. The groomsmen matched the bridesmaids with their navy bowties. Bethany and Mike’s ceremony was held at Mary Queen Catholic Church. Their reception followed at Keene Trace Golf Club. The tables were dressed in white table cloths and decorated with candles and greenery. We took Mike and Bethany out at sunset for some romantic photos to celebrate their amazing day. The golf course had so many amazing spots from fields of wildflowers to a pond lit by a glowing sunset. We had so much celebrating with Mike and Bethany’s family and friends as they danced the night away.
Bethay and Mike met during their freshman year at the University of Michigan. They were introduced by a mutual friend in Mike’s fraternity house. It wasn’t until the second half of their sophomore year that they started to get to know each other. Mike had a crush on Bethany and would often run into her. Bethany and Mike had been dating long distance when Mike decided to drive up for a weekend to see Bethany. After mass on Sunday, they went to the Cranbrook Botanical Gardens. It is a place that they both loved to take walks and do photo shoots. They walked onto a small island in the middle of the pond where Bethany thought Mike was going to take some pictures of her looking over the water. When he asked her to turn around Mike was down on one knee with an open ring box in his hand. Bethany stood there in shock for a few seconds and said, “Yes!” We wish Mike and Bethany many years of love, happiness, and adventure. Their wedding day was so special and we feel so blessed that they chose us to capture their special day. Also, we want to give a big shout out to all of the amazing team of vendors who helped make this day possible. Make sure to visit the bottom of the page to see a list of the creative team.
