Jamie and Alex’s wedding was on a beautiful spring day in downtown Frankfort, Kentucky. It was a perfect day with flowers blooming everywhere. Jamie looked gorgeous in her lace wedding dress and long cathedral veil. Her ladies wore long peacock green mismatched dresses, and their bouquets were filled with red, white, purple, blue, and pink flowers. Alex and his groomsmen looked dapper in their grey suits and copper ties. Jamie and Alex shared a first look at the Kentucky State Capital building. It was stunning scene with flowering trees and tulips everywhere. Their wedding ceremony and reception followed at the Elizabeth. The Elizabeth is an old historic church that has been renovated and turned into a wedding venue. Inside, the beautiful stained glass windows made for the perfect place for Jamie and Alex to say, I do! We have loved getting to celebrate with Jamie and Alex this year and capture their wedding love story!
Jamie and Alex met while attending a bible study through Southland Christian Church. Jamie and Alex immediately had chemistry. About a month later, Alex asked Jamie out after a Bible study. Their first date was dinner at Malones and bowling after. Alex Knew that Jamie was the one for him, so he decided that he would propose Christmas morning at her parent’s house. Unknown to her Alex had her sister slip the ring in her stocking. After breakfast, they started opening their stockings. They started the line to where Jamie was the last person to go. By the time it got to Jamie, she was a little impatient and went through her stocking pretty quickly. Jamie’s mom puts candy in the bottom of the stocking, so she glanced in it and just saw the candy leaving the ring at the bottom. Alex then began to panic! While Jamie was focused on another gift, Alex reached over and grabbed her stocking and exclaimed, “Oh, you missed something.” Dumbfounded, Jamie looked at her stocking and stared blankly back at Alex. It didn’t click until after she opened the box and stared at the ring. The engagement ring is made out of a beautiful moonstone. Alex got Jamie a moonstone engagement ring because of their nickname for each other. Alex is the sun, and the moon is Jamie. Congratulations, Jamie and Alex! We are so happy you have found each other, and we wish you a lifetime of love, happiness, and adventure!
