From the moment that we met Laura nd Trevor, it has been an adventure. For their engagement session, we went rock climbing in Muir Valley and also hiked the Rockbridge Trail in the Red River Gorge. These two first met at a rock climbing gym in Michigan while Laura was there on business. To learn more about their story you can check out the blog that we did on their engagement session. Their love for hiking, climbing, and the great outdoors brought them to the Red River Gorge many times. This made it a special place in their hearts and so they wanted to share this amazing place with their family and friends who live all over the country.
Laura and Trevor’s Red River Gorge wedding was held at the Cliffview Resort in Campton, Kentucky. From the moment we pulled on the property for their wedding we saw at least 10 deer on the way to the lodge. After stopping to photograph several of these deer, we knew that we were going to have an amazing day! The ceremony was held in the morning at a breathtaking overlook just behind the Cliffview Resort Lodge. Laura and Trevor’s reception was filled with neat details incorporating in some of the special places that hey have traveled together.
The real adventure began when we left the reception to ride the Skylift up to Natural Bridge. Laura and Trevor really wanted all of their guests to enjoy the beauty of the Red River Gorge. We had a lot of fun taking photos of them holding a just married sign on the way up to the top. A couple minutes after the bridal party and several of the guests reached the top a storm blew through and we were all stuck in the rain for about twenty minutes with nowhere to go. Everyone was drenched but we were still able to take a couple photos at the top before coming back down. We closed the day out at one of our favorite places Miguel’s Pizza. Laura & Trevor wanted their guests to enjoy this world famous pizza and also Kentucky’s finest ALE8 One. Thank you to all of the amazing wedding vendors who made this day possible.
