Charlotte and John’s engagement session was at Constitution Square in downtown Danville, Kentucky, where they live. It is the cutest little town filled with so many historic houses and architecture. We loved walking around with Charlotte and John, hearing all about their love story, and celebrating their engagement.
Charlotte and John first met when they attended grad school. They were acquaintances for a long time but didn’t know each other very well. Then after grad school, Charolette and John both moved to Danville. They connected and started to get to know each other. They went to the Jazz Festival at Shaker Village for their first date. Charlotte and John brought lawn chairs and listened to a few of the musicians, and the photographer asked if he could take their picture. It was a perfect date to chat and share more about themselves. Together John and Charlotte love spending time with their family and friends, playing with their nieces and nephews, cooking, and eating together. They also like to hike and be outdoors, and they recently have begun gardening together.
John knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Charlotte. He led her to believe that they were stopping by their old grad school for mundane reasons. But John took Charlotte to the classroom where they had their very first class together eight years ago. They determined that they sat near one another during that class. John then asked Charlotte to marry him. She said yes without hesitation. The diamond was from John’s grandmother’s ring, and they had it reset at a local jewelry store in Danville. We are so happy for John and Charlotte and can’t wait to celebrate their special day with them this summer!
