Sarah and Brad were married on a beautiful summer day at Limestone Hall in Downtown Lexington, Kentucky. Sarah looked stunning in her lace wedding dress with a cathedral veil. Her bridesmaid wore baby blue dresses, and their bouquets were filled with bright pink, red, and purple colors. Brad and his groomsmen looked handsome in their navy suits. Sarah and Brad shared their first look at Gratz Park among downtown Lexington’s historic houses and beautiful gardens. Their ceremony and reception were at the historic courthouse now called Limestone Hall. The tables were decorated in white linens with blue and gold accents. Everyone danced the night away and celebrated Sarah and Brad. We have loved getting to know them this past year and capturing this part of their love story.
Sarah and Brad matched on Bumble. Sarah noticed on Brad’s profile that he grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, only a couple hours from where she grew up in Longview, Texas. So Sarah’s first message to him was about how it was great to see a fellow Texan in Lexington!
They first met on a Sunday afternoon at Blue Stallion Brewing Company. They learned so much about each other, including that they both moved to Lexington from Texas in the same year (2013) and while in college, they both studied Spanish in the same town in Spain (Salamanca). They also realized their paths had crossed a couple of years prior when they both attended the same 80s party in Lexington. After hitting it off during their initial meeting, they had their first “real” date the following weekend. They went to the Distillery District and did axe throwing at Battle Axes, followed by dinner and drinks at Elkhart Tavern. Over the next several months of dating, they were drawn to each other’s authenticity, kindness, and intention – and fell in love.
On the day Brad proposed, they were able to spend the whole day together. They went to a morning workout class, enjoyed lunch, and watched a matinee movie, followed by drinks and dinner at ItalX. Sarah thought this big day was to celebrate her new job, so she was so surprised when after dinner, they walked across the street to Limestone Hall, where Brad took Sarah up to the front, got on one knee, and asked her to marry him! Of course, she said yes. We are so happy for Brad and Sarah and wish them a lifetime of love, happiness, and adventure. Congratulations, you two!
