WELCOME TO KEVIN AND ANNA'S WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY BLOG

Our story began at a local rock climbing gym, where we met and quickly fell for each other. Our love for rock climbing, hiking & the great outdoors made us a perfect match.

Fall Wedding at One Oak Event Venue in Nicholasville, Kentucky

Maggie and Lucas were married at One Oak Event Venue in Nicholasville, Kentucky. They had a gorgeous warm fall day. Maggie looked beautiful in her lace wedding dress and long cathedral veil. Her girls wore long navy dresses, and their bouquets were filled with yellow, white, and blue flowers. Lucas and his groomsmen looked handsome in their grey suits and navy ties. They held their ceremony outside, nestled under a canopy of trees. Their reception followed in the barn. The tables were decorated with wood centerpieces and floral arrangements. At sunset, we went to the top of a hill overlooking the countryside for some magical photos. At the reception, everyone danced the night away, celebrating Maggie and Lucas. We have loved getting to know Maggie and Lucas this year and capturing this part of their love story.

Similar to a lot of modern couples, Lucas and Maggie met online. Lucas and Maggie had their first date eating dinner at BJs Restaurant and Brewhouse and then dessert at Orange Leaf. They spent over four hours together on that first date. Even though it was cold and misting, Maggie was too stubborn to go back inside and did not want the date to end. Lucas decided that since they met and fell in love here in Lexington, that is where he wanted to propose. Knowing Maggie’s love for her horse, he knew the perfect scene for proposing was at the barn where she keeps her horse. They had spent the afternoon taking some marketing photos with Maggie’s horse. Lucas convinced Maggie that she should get on her horse for the next photo. She was reluctant because she had not ridden recently due to an injury, but she got on anyway. Lucas went back to the truck to “get something.” He returned with the ring in his hand and asked her to marry him. She was so shocked the first thing she said was, “What?”. Once she realized what was happening, she ecstatically said yes! We are so happy for Maggie and Lucas and wish them a lifetime of love, happiness, and adventure. Congratulations, you two!
