On a beautiful spring day in downtown Frankfort, Kentucky, Clara, and Henry were married at the Foundry on Broadway. Clara looked gorgeous in her lace wedding dress. Her girls wore mismatched green and pink long dresses. Their bouquets were filled with white flowers and greenery. Henry and his groomsmen looked handsome in their classic black suits and bowtie. Clara and Henry’s ceremony and reception was at the historic Foundry on Broadway. Inside, the tables were decorated with white tablecloths, flowers, greenery, and an Ale8 with a bourbon party favor. They had two fantastic food trucks cater their wedding, which was super fun. We went to the Kentucky State Capital for sunset photos, where we celebrated Henry and Clara’s special day with their classic Jaguar. It was the perfect day, and we were so honored that Clara and Henry chose us to capture their special day.
Clara and Henry first met at a mutual friend’s party in college. Their first date was on Clara’s 18th birthday. Henry proposed to Clara during a fun getaway. When they arrived at the hotel, things got pretty awkward. Things are NEVER awkward between them, so she knew he must have been pretty nervous. They sat down on the bed, admiring the “ambiance” of the hotel room – which wasn’t much, lol. Clara and Henry were both a little nervous, obviously. Henry kept getting Clara to look out the window at the downtown view, and she just knew he was waiting for the right time to do it. Sure enough, Clara turned around, and he was down on one knee – breaking a sweat – with the most beautiful ring!
Clara could tell he had some big speech planned out, but the words “will you marry me” just came flying out of his mouth. Clara eased his conscience with an “of course,” and they finished the night with a steak dinner at the Blue Heron Steakhouse. The ring was Henry’s great-grandmother’s ring which made it even more special. A one-of-a-kind ring that only she has to always remember Henry’s love forever. Congratulations, Clara and Henry! We have loved getting to know you all this past year and are so happy for you two. May you have a lifetime of love, happiness, and adventure.
