Spring Engagement Session at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, KY

Fontaine and Dean’s engagement session was at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Kentucky. They had a beautiful spring night to celebrate their engagement. We loved walking around the beautiful grounds of Keeneland, getting to know Fontaine and Dean, and hearing all about their love story.

Fontaine and Dean met shortly after Fontaine graduated from Spelman College in 2006. She was having fun at a close friend’s bachelorette party when she caught Dean’s eye. Dean said he knew he could not let her “get away,” so he asked for Fontaine’s phone number, and they started dating. Through the years, they grew as friends, learning from each other, loving each other, and most importantly, supporting each other through the toughest of times. Even though Dean was “new” at love, he said he always knew he wanted to be with Fontaine, the love of his life, and never grew tired of telling her they were meant to be.

For their first date, Dean invited Fontaine to play pool. She, being the “girly girl,” politely declined, lol. So instead, he took her to his favorite local taco restaurant for their first date. It was there that Fontaine discovered his “quick, witty banter” matched hers perfectly. Dean had a comeback for EVERYTHING, lol, and they spent most of the night laughing and enjoying each other’s energy. The food was awful, lol, so he invited her over to his place for their second date, and he cooked dinner for her. Dean is the best cook HANDS DOWN! Together Fontaine and Dean love to watch movies, travel, and try out new restaurants!

Dean knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Fontaine. So he proposed to her on the 4th of July weekend. It was just the two of them as he confessed his love and desire to be together for the rest of their lives. Needless to say, she said yes, and they spent the rest of the weekend celebrating under the beautiful neighborhood fireworks. Fontaine knew Dean was the one because he was the only man she had ever met that she could just “be” with. It doesn’t matter what they’re doing; whether they’re in the house relaxing or on the move, she knows she’s going to be laughing and having the best time. We are so happy for Fontaine and Dean and can’t wait to celebrate with them and capture their love story this summer at Spindletop Hall. Stay tuned for their wedding day love story!
