Intimate Summer Wedding at Mary Queen and Dudley’s on Short in Lexington, KY

Emily and Ryan had an intimate wedding with their closest friends and family on a beautiful summer day in June. They were so happy to have a Kentucky wedding in Lexington, where Emily grew up. Emily looked gorgeous in her lace wedding dress. Her bouquet was filled with orange and pink flowers. Ryan looked handsome in his classic black and white suit. We spent the afternoon taking photos at Keeneland Racetrack and celebrating with Emily and Ryan before they said, I Do! Emily and Ryan were married at Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary with a reception after at Dudley’s on Short. It was such an honor to photograph their special day. We loved getting to know Emily and Ryan and capturing this part of their love story.

Emily and Ryan first met while playing in an after-work cornhole league. Emily’s coworker had organized the team and was also a friend of Ryan’s and invited him to join. Emily and Ryan were friends for about six months before they started to date. Their first date was in January of 2018, and they went out to dinner. Ryan knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Emily. They planned to drive down to Kentucky for Christmas on Christmas Eve. So Emily and Ryan decided to exchange presents on the 23rd. Ryan tricked Emily by first giving her a diamond bracelet. Ryan then said he had one more gift and pulled out the ring. Of course, she said yes! Family and friends mean so much to Emily and Ryan, and they will be celebrating with Ryan’s loved ones in Ryan’s hometown in the spring of 2022 in Greenwich, CT. We are so happy for Emily and Ryan and wish them many years of love, adventure, and happiness. Congratulations, and thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your special day!
