Surprise Engagement Proposal in the Snow on Sky Bridge in the Red River Gorge

We were so excited when Evan contacted us about proposing to his girlfriend Jordan in the Red River Gorge. He picked the Sky Bridge Hiking Trail, which is a gorgeous spot. The Sky Bridge trail starts with you walking on top of the arch and then hiking down to a stunning view of the arch. It is one of the prettiest arches in the Red River Gorge. Jordan and Evan met in college in their communication class. Their professor indicated that they would be a good couple. So they connected to talk about how wrong their professor was, but instead, their professor ended up being right. For their first date, they went to a local steakhouse called Stockyard in Deland with another couple. Evan picked Jordan up for the night on his motorcycle. Before she was allowed to leave, all of her roommates made Evan come inside and answer questions about his intentions. It’s a memory they will never forget.

Together Evan and Jordan love to be outdoors, from hiking and sporting clays to walks with the dogs and time at the barn with their horse. Jordan and Evan also love being back inside most evenings, watching TV, and eating popcorn and ice cream on the couch.

Evan knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Jordan. After dating for eight years, he decided to plan the perfect proposal. So they booked a weekend getaway in the winter in the Red River Gorge with their three dogs. Evan picked out the hikes and strategically made the last hike Sky Bridge. The Red River Gorge was a winter wonderland filled with snow and ice-covered trees. As Evan and Jordan walked their dogs over the arch, Evan stopped in the middle, where they took in the beautiful scenery. Evan then got down on one knee and asked Jordan to marry him. It was such a sweet moment, and she, of course, said yes. Afterward, we celebrated with them by taking some fun engagement photos. It was the most romantic and adventurous proposal. We are so happy for Evan and Jordan and wish them many years of love, happiness, and adventure.
