Latasha and Phillip’s engagement session was at Gratz Park in downtown Lexington, Kentucky. They had the most beautiful day to celebrate their engagement. We loved walking around downtown and seeing all the beautiful historic homes decorated for Christmas. We had a great time getting to know them and hearing all about their love story.

Latash and Phillip first connected on a dating website. After calling and texting for a month, they had their first date at a local Starbucks. The plan was to grab a coffee and then head to a bookstore since they both enjoyed reading. However, their immediate chemistry kept them talking at Starbucks until it closed, and they had to kick them out, meaning the bookstore was also closed. Together Latasha and Phillip love to read, watch movies, and cuddle on the couch with their dog, Badger. Phillip enjoys cooking and creating new recipes, and Latasha happens to enjoy eating, so it’s a win-win. For their second date, Phillip cooked jalapeno cream cheese stuffed chicken just for her.

Phillip knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Latasha. So on his birthday, they decided to walk around the arboretum and take a family photo together with Phillip’s three-year-old son Cash and their dog Badger. Phillip found two girls to take the picture. He went down to act like he was going to tie his shoe. Latasha then looked down to see the ring in Phillip’s hand. Latasha, of course, said yes. We can’t wait to capture Latasha and Phillip’s wedding day love story next year!
