Wedding at the Club at UK’s Spindletop Hall and St. Luke Methodist Church in Lexington, KY

Katie and Scott were married on a beautiful September day. Katie looked stunning in her silk wedding dress. Katie’s bridesmaids wore long green dresses, and their bouquets were filled with white flowers and greenery. Scott and his groomsmen looked handsome in their classic black tuxes and bowties. Due to Covid-19, Katie and Scott decided to have an intimate wedding with very close family and friends. The wedding ceremony was at St. Luke Methodist Church in Lexington, Kentucky. The reception followed at the Club at UK’s Spindletop Hall. It was the perfect evening. The patio was decorated with long lit candles, books, horses, and gold decor. We loved getting to celebrate with Katie and Scott and can’t wait for their vow renewal next year with all their family and friends back at Spindletop.

We have loved getting to know Katie and Scott over the last year. It has been such an honor to capture their love story. Katie and Scott’s first date was st a south beach-themed restaurant. They immediately bonded over their many shared interests and a similar sense of humor. They both love traveling, eating good food, watching movies, cheering on the Nashville Predators hockey team, and discussing economics. On Katie’s birthday weekend, Scott planned a trip to Atlanta, where she was born, and near where her best friend lives now. Scott tricked Katie about where they were staying and surprised her when they rolled up to a beautiful lake-front resort. Katie thought this surprise was all for her birthday, even right up to the moment that Scott walked her down to the lake-front and showed her an elaborate set-up with a blazing fire pit and Adirondack chairs with cozy blankets. Even the flowers arranged in a heart shape and bottle of champagne cooling on ice didn’t tip her off; she still thought this was all a birthday surprise. It wasn’t until Scott got down on one knee that Katie finally realized what was going on! Katie, of course, said, Yes! We are so happy for Katie and Scott and wish them a lifetime of love, happiness, and adventure. Congratulations, you two!
