We first met Austin and Emily at Shaker Village last summer to celebrate their engagement. We were so sad when Covid-19 hit and caused them to have to cancel their scheduled wedding plans and instead have an intimate ceremony. To celebrate this sweet couple tying the knot, we went back to Shaker Village to take some bride and groom photos. Emily looked gorgeous in her lace wedding dress. Her bouquet was filled with bright flowers of pink, purple, yellow, and orange. Austin looked handsome in his navy suit and pink tie. We had so much fun adventuring around the country roads, white fences, and fields of wildflowers. We are so happy for Emily and Austin and wish them a lifetime of love, happiness, and adventure. Congratulations, you two!!!
Emily and Austin both attended Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky. However, they didn’t meet until they both participated in a mission trip to Irapuato, Mexico, in December of 2017. Emily and Austin became quick friends during the trip as they spent time abroad renovating and remodeling a church. They also played with local children together during Vacation Bible School. When they arrived back in the states, they had their first date at the movies. They love to hike, watch movies, travel, and try new things together. Austin knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Emily. So he decided to take Emily on a hike to Rock Bridge and Creation Falls in the Red River Gorge. When they arrived at the top of the waterfall, Emily turned around to see Austin proposing. She, of course, said Yes!
