Elopement and Vow Renewal at Hemlock Springs in the Red River Gorge

Cayley and Daniel celebrated a vow renewal at Events at Hemlock Springs in the Red River Gorge. They had a small intimate outdoor ceremony surrounded by their close family and friends. They renewed their vows under a canopy of trees in the forest. Cayley looked gorgeous in her lace wedding dress and veil. Daniel looked handsome in his navy suit and wooden bowtie. The bridesmaid wore pretty long coral dresses, and groomsmen wore suspenders. After Cayley and Daniel said, I do, a rainstorm rolled in as a touch of good luck on their vow renewal wedding day. After about 20 minutes, the rain vanished, and we were able to celebrate with some romantic bride and groom photos. We had so much fun celebrating Caley and Daniel and getting to meet their sweet families and friends. We loved getting to know them and hear all about their love story.

Cayley and Daniel first met in the summer of 2015 at a volleyball game at the Pulaski County Park. Both Cayley and Daniel didn’t want to attend the game that day, but their friends encouraged them to go anyway. When they first saw each other, they both liked each other right away. Cayley thought Daniel was really cute, and Daniel couldn’t take his eyes off Cayley the entire game. Unfortunately, they were placed on separate teams. When Daniel saw Cayley, he felt right away that God was telling him that Cayley was the one for him. Two days prior, Daniel had prayed and asked God to bring a Godly woman into his life. The two finally got a chance to meet when a thunderstorm came through that forced them all under a covered picnic area. They were both too shy to speak to each other, but Cayley’s friend gave her some courage to talk to Daniel. They awkwardly started talking to Daniel. From that moment on, they became inseparable. For their first date, they went to the drive-in theatre in Somerset, Kentucky. Daniel brought his truck and made a nice bed out of pillows and blankets to watch one of the Marvel movies playing. Together Cayley and Daniel love hiking with their dogs. Cayley and Daniel also love to rock climb, kayak and spend time in their hammock. One of their favorite things to do once a year is to go on a backpacking trip. They are also are big thrifters and love going to thrift stores on the weekends. Being together is their favorite, even if it’s just chilling and playing video games.

Daniel knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Cayley. He picked her up at her parent’s house and told her that they were going to go thrifting and have lunch at an Amish store. It was a typical weekend, and so Cayley didn’t think much about it. After shopping and picking up their lunch, they headed over to the Pulaski County Park. Usually, Cayley and Daniel love to sit by the lake whenever they have a picnic lunch. When they arrived, Daniel took a different way instead of towards the lake. Daniel made the excuse that he wanted to change things up a bit. He brought a blanket and set their lunch down right in front of the volleyball courts. Daniel asked Cayley if they could take a picture together. Cayley agreed, and so Daniel set up his phone for a photo. Little did Cayley know, but Daniel was about to propose. He proposed at the same place they met each other. How sweet is that?

Due to COVID-19, Cayley, and Daniel’s original wedding day was supposed to be on May 18, 2020. Unfortunately, due to restrictions, they had to postpone the ceremony to June 19. Cayley and Daniel went ahead and got married on May 18 and had a very sweet and special ceremony just for them. They went back to where it all started at the Pulaski County Park. It poured down rain the entire day. They had their ceremony under a picnic shelter with just their parents, siblings, and grandparents. Cayley’s father performed the ceremony and then later walked Cayley down the aisle at her vow renewal. It meant so much that he was able to do both. Everything came full circle rain and all on both their wedding day and row renewal day. If rain is good luck on your wedding day, then they have enough luck to spread around the world. Congratulations, Cayley, and Daniel. We are so happy for you to and wish you all the best as you start your new journey together.
