Colorful Fall Engagement Photos at Shaker Village in Harrodsburg, KY

Denice and Jacob’s engagement session was at Shaker Village in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Shaker Village was a beautiful place to celebrate their engagement. The trees were so colorful, and the sun was perfect and glowy. We loved exploring the beautiful fall countryside, hearing all about their love story.

Jacob knew Naomi, who was Denice’s Mom’s best friend. Naomi’s daughter, Drew, was dating Jacob’s youngest brother Issac. All four of them went out on a double date to a BreakOut Room and then out to dinner at Saul Good. It wasn’t until two years later that they got in touch with each other. Denice was going through a rough time helping her mom battle kidney cancer. Her mother fought hard but unfortunately passed away in November 2018. Denice had many things she had to do, and her friend Naomi was a big help. Naomi referred Jacob to help Denice with a lot of handyman projects around her mother’s house. This is how they got back in touch with each other and started hanging out more. Their first date was just the two of them at Palmer’s. Jacob picked Denice up and drove them to the restaurant. They were both so nervous but found that it was so easy for them to talk. Together, they had a great dinner, and then he drove her back home, knowing that they both wanted a second date. Together they love spending time and just talking. Denice and Jacob also love cooking together, running errands, and watching movies.

Jacob knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Denice. He proposed right before they were getting ready to go tour Talon Winery. Denice was trying to get ready quickly and told him they needed to leave. When she turned around, he was down on one knee in the living room. He told her she was the love of his life and that he didn’t want to live without her. Of course, Denice said yes. It was so exciting to go on the tour with a ring on her finger. The rest of the day, they spent touring wineries around the city. Denice’s engagement ring has her mother’s diamond along with a beautiful setting. It was completely perfect since she can wear a little piece of her mom with her every day. The remainder of her mom’s wedding band was used as Denice’s something blue by placing a blue sapphire in the setting, which was her mother’s birthstone. It was all Jacob’s idea, which was so thoughtful and meaningful. We can’t wait to celebrate Denice and Jacob’s wedding this summer. Stay tuned for their wedding day love story.
