Kara and Philip’s wedding took place in Winchester, Kentucky. They got ready at the stunning Moundale Manor. The large estate is absolutely breathtaking both inside and out. Kara wore a beautiful lace dress and long cathedral veil. Her girls wore long blush dresses and their bouquets were filled with white and pink flowers. Philip and his guys looked daper in their navy suits and ties. Kara and Philip’s ceremony was in front of the estate. A beautiful flowered arch was at the top of the steps and down the aisle were flower petals. Their reception followed at the Winchester Opera House in downtown Winchester, KY. The ballroom was dressed in white drapery. The tables were covered in white tablecloths and accented with gold centerpieces filled with white and pink flowers. Kara and Philip danced the night away celebrating with their family and friends.
We have loved getting to know Kara and Philip this year. They are both so sweet and perfect for each other. It was such an honor to capture their wedding day love story. Their love story first began in 6th-grade social studies. It wasn’t until several years later that they connected beyond knowing each other in middle school. Their first date was on the 4th of July. They went to Rebra Lake in Richmond with Philip’s family. Kara and Philip continued to date for 7 years through high school and college. Philip knew he wanted to ask Kara a very special question. On April 21st they went to Louisville to visit the newest addition of the family. They spent time loving on the new baby and then afterward headed to Thunder Over Louisville. They had planned the trip for a few weeks because Philip really wanted to go see the fireworks. After the craziness of parking, they finally found the perfect spot to watch the show. Kara’s parents decided to join them. The moment was absolutely perfect as the fireworks started. Philip held Kara and asked, “If she would love him forever.” Kara jokingly chuckled saying, “maybe.” Next thing Kara knew Philip was down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Of course, she replied, Yes! The moment was so special. Fireworks were not only a part of their first date but also when Philip proposed.
