Summer Jewish Wedding at Lost River Cave in Bowling Green, Kentucky

Kate and Jacob were married at Lost River Cave in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Their friends and family traveled from all over to see these two  tie the knot in a cave. Lost River Cave has hosted parties for many years and was once a night club during the prohobition. The cave sits along an underground river and is nestled in a romantic forest. Kate looked beautiful in her ballgown with a flowing tulle skirt and beaded top. Her girls wore hot pink long dresses and thier bouquets were filled with bright flowers and pink wisteria. Jacob and his groomsmen looked dapper in their navy suits and pink bowties. Kate and Jacob shared their first look on a large bridge in the forest. Their ceremony was in the mouth of the cave. Their chuppah was dressed in beautiful flowers and the aisle was filled with flower petals. The reception followed inside the cave. It was decorated with white drapery and a chandelier. The tables were decorated with gold plates and wooden boxes filled with flowers. Everyone danced the night away and celebrate Kate and Jacob! We have loved getting to know Kate and Jacob and are so honored that we captured their wedding day love story.

Thier love story first began in June of 2014 when Jacob visited his college friend Brian who is from Kate’s hometown. They stopped at a local restaurant where Kate was working. The next night Kate went to a bar to meet some friends and ran into Brian and Jacob. Kate offered to show Jacob the house she had just bought that was under construction. They walked 6 blocks to reach the house. Kate didn’t even have a key yet but was still so excited to show Jacob the house. So they stood outside admiring the house and Jacob gave her a kiss. They walked back downtown and exchanged numbers. Kate and Jacob continued to visit each other back and forth from Long Island to Belleville every other month and then more frequently. In December of 2016 Kate and Jacob went to southern Illinois to stay in a cabin for a few days to go hiking. Kate became ill so they decided to try again in December of 2017. It was freezing outside but Kate agreed to bundle up and go on a hike with Jacob. Kate was complaining about the cold but Jacob kept leading Kate down several trails until they started talking about saving for a wedding someday. Kate then turned around to see Jacob down on one knee. Kate didn’t say anything because she was so surprised. She eventually of course said, YES!
