Intimate Courthouse Wedding in Downtown Lexington, Kentucky

Kate and Chris had a romantic and intimate wedding surrounded by their families in downtown Lexington, Kentucky at the Courthouse. From the moment we met Kate and Chris we could see just how perfect they are for each other. We loved hearing their vows and how much they love each other. After their ceremony we were able to celebrate with them along with their families by taking some romantic photos. A little good luck rain made for some fun photos with a clear umbrella. The rain soon cleared up and we were able to visit the Gratz Park area for some more fun photos. We loved meeting this sweet couple and capturing their wedding day love story.

Their love story first began in graduate school in Irvine, California. They worked out at the gym together and became good friends. Their first date was dinner at a taco shop. Chris knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Kate. They went on vacation to Zion National Park in Utah. One morning they hiked up a adventurous hike called Angel’s Landing. Angel’s landng is a strenuous hike with many steep dropoffs that eventually leads to a mountain top with a gorgeous view. When they arrived at the top Kate was in awe of the breathtaking view accross the valley. She turned around to see Chris with a ring down on one knee. He then asked her to marry him and he of course said yes!
