Red River Gorge March Wedding at the Cliffview Resort in Campton, KY

Sarah and Craig’s wedding was at the Cliffview Resort located in the Red River Gorge in Campton, KY. They were married on a warm sunny day in March. Their love for the outdoors and adventure made the Cliffview the perfect place for them to get married. Sarah looked beautiful in her lace dress that her sister also wore on her wedding day. Her bridesmaids wore sage long mismatched dresses. The girl’s bouquets were filled with roses and greenery. The guys looked dapper in their grey suits and emerald accents. Sarah and Craig’s ceremony was held on the edge of a cliff line overlooking the gorge. Their reception followed in a cabin reception hall. The tables were decorated with sage tablecloths and wooden centerpieces. Each centerpiece had a picture of a famous mountain, candles, and flowers. All of their family and friends danced the night away in celebration of these two getting married!

For their third date, they climbed up Cloudsplitter which is an unmarked hiking trail that overlooks the Red River Gorge. They both loved to go out to the gorge and run the trails so it seemed natural when Craig suggested they spend Labor Day in the gorge. When they got to the top of Cloudsplitter Craig started to act a little strange looking for “a place to sit down.” Eventually, they sat and talked for a while and he then pulled a box out of his pocket. He said all sorts of sweet things and then asked Sarah to marry him. After a minute Sarah realized a group of their friends was behind them taking pictures. Craig had asked them to come along and bring a picnic and photograph the moment. Unfortunately, their friends had gotten lost and missed the proposal. Craig was trying to stall but went ahead and asked Sarah to marry him. The Red River Gorge will always hold a special place in their hearts.

We have loved getting to know Sarah and Craig. They are both so sweet and so fun. We feel so honored that they chose us to capture their special day.
