Janet and Kevin’s downtown wedding took place on a beautiful Saturday in June. The girls got ready at the historic 21c Museum Hotel. Janet looked stunning in her beautiful lace dress and her girls wore mismatched navy dresses. Their bouquets were filled with coral charm peonies, roses, tulips, hypericum berries and many more beautiful flowers and greenery. Kevin and his guys got ready at his home. He and his groomsmen looked dapper in their classic black tuxes. Janet and Kevin shared their first look in the garden at the Apiary. They wrote letters for each other and celebrated with their wedding party before the ceremony started. Their ceremony was held at Limestone Hall the newly renovated old courthouse in downtown Lexington, KY. All of their family and friends gathered to celebrate with these two high school sweethearts. Their reception followed at the Apiary. The Apiary looked stunning with large table arrangements filled with creams and an assortment of pinks. An old farm table filled the middle of the room where the wedding party sat. We loved celebrating with Janet and Kevin in their special day. They are both so sweet and a pure joy to be around. The groom, of course, has one of the coolest names in the world. We are so happy for them and loved getting to know all of their amazing family and friends.
Janet and Kevin both rode the same bus on the way to Henry Clay High School. Their first date was going to see Pirates of the Caribbean. Janet remembers Kevin’s mom driving them because they were both too young to drive at the time. As their love grew and they both went to college and law school Kevin decided it was finally time to ask Janet a special question. Kevin told Janet that their boss, Jason had just acquired his pilot’s license. Jason needed to practice his takeoffs and landings with multiple passengers. So Janet agreed to help Jason out and they met him at the airport. As they got in the air Jason asked Kevin if he could see a cool thing on the golf course. Janet kept looking for “that cool thing” but assumed it was some kind of golf thing that she couldn’t see. Kevin had painted “Marry Me?” on his parent’s basketball court and proposed to Janet in the sky! Of course, Janet said YES! We feel so honored that Janet and Kevin asked us to capture their special day. We wish them many years of love, happiness, and adventure.
