Gorgeous Waterfall Engagement Session at Shaker Village in Harrodsburg, Kentucky

Ben and Taylor’s engagement session was at the gorgeous Shaker Village in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Shaker Village has the most romantic waterfall hidden back along one of their many hiking trails. Ben and Taylor both being adventurous and loving the outdoors hiked with us to this perfect magical spot. We had so much fun getting to know them and hearing their love story. Ben and Taylor are both so sweet and caring. It is so evident to see how much they love each other. Ben and Taylor had many mutual friends. Ben remembered meeting Tayor at a People’s Conference back in 2013. In May of 2016, Ben started messaging Taylor on Facebook. Taylor didn’t remember Ben at first. They started to talk back and forth occasionally. A month later Taylor decided to reach out to Ben with another message and they ended up talking on the phone for over an hour. Taylor remembers laughing and feeling so comfortable with Ben. It was almost as if they already knew each other. From that day on, they talked every day. For their first date, they went to their mutual friend’s going away party in Lousiville and went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. It was the best date Taylor had ever had.

Ben had just closed on their house and told Taylor to dress up so that they could go out and celebrate. Ben met Taylor at her car and walked her into the house. On the kitchen counter was a vase full of flowers and a blindfold. Taylor asked what the blindfold was for and Ben told her it was for her and that he had a surprise. He led her to the master bedroom where he put the blindfold on. Taylor thought maybe Ben had bought her something special for the house. As she made jokes trying to figure out what Ben was planning she could feel him walking towards her and go down on one knee. Ben told her to take the blindfold off. Sure enough when she took the blindfold off Ben was down on one knee. Ben said he didn’t want to go through life and new experiences without anyone else. Of course, she said yes! We can’t wait to capture their special day this December at the Signature Club in Lexington, Kentucky. Make sure to stay tuned to see the rest of their love story unfold.
