Alex and Megan’s gorgeous fall wedding was held in their hometown of Bardstown, Kentucky. They both got ready in the charming and historic downtown area. Downtown Bardstown is filled with historic buildings and so much unique character. Megan and her girls got ready at the Talbott Inn while Alex and his groomsmen got ready at the Bourbon Barrel Loft. Megan looked breathtaking in her champaign lace dress and cathedral veil. Her girls were dressed in long sparkly dresses of champagne gold and blush. Their bouquets were filled with assorted colored roses, peonies, and greenery. Alex and his guys looked dapper in their navy blue suits accented with blush ties and handkerchiefs. Alex wore a navy suit with white accents.
Alex and Megan were married on Alex’s family farm in Bardstown, Kentucky. Their ceremony was held in front of his grandmother’s home. It was beautifully decorated with a flower arch around the porch and flower wreaths hanging on the windows. Megan drove up in a brown Rolls Royce and was walked down the aisle to greet her high school sweetheart. They shared an intimate ceremony with all of their closest family and friends. We loved every detail of Megan and Alex’s weddings from the sweet tree swing to the fun photo booth wall. Their reception followed in a large white tent on the farm. From the ceiling hung different chandeliers and lights. The tables were decorated with large gorgeous centerpieces and China. Everyone celebrated and danced the night away to the sounds of the band Superfecta.
Megan and Alex’s story began in high school when they met sophomore year at a football game. Megan went to the game with her cousin who just so happened to be dating Alex’s best friend. From the moment she met Alex, Megan had a crush on him and they have been together ever since. The proposal happened at Triangle Park in downtown, Lexington Kentucky. Alex asked Megan to meet him and their dog Pepper for lunch. To her surprise as soon as she arrived Alex immediately got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She was not expecting it at all and was totally surprised. Megan and Alex are two of the sweetest and kindest people we have ever met. We have loved getting to know them both and were so honored that they chose us to capture their special day. We felt so loved by all of their amazing family and friends. We wish them many years of love, happiness, and adventure.
