Summer Wedding at the Kentucky Castle in Versailles, KY

Courtney may have looked and felt like a princess on her wedding day, but through Michael’s eyes, you could see that she would always be his princess. Their gorgeous wedding was at the famous and romantic Kentucky Castle in Versailles, KY. Courtney and Michael’s wedding day was filled with all details gold, blush, and maroon. Courtney looked breathtaking in her lace dress and pearls. Her bridesmaids were dressed in glimmering gold dresses and their bouquets were filled with roses, dahlias, and greenery. Michael and his groomsmen looked dapper in their classic black tux and bowtie. They were married in the courtyard at the Kentucky Castle on a gorgeous July day. White drapery hung from the castle balcony while black lanterns lined the aisle. Their ceremony was a fairytale moment that ended with a romantic kiss. Their reception followed in a large white tent. The tables were dressed with flowers, lanterns, and gold accents. We especially adored their beautiful cake and macaroons. As the sun began to set we took Courtney and Michael out to the front of the Kentucky Castle for some romantic portraits. It was the perfect way to end their fairytale wedding.

Courtney and Michael attended the same High School but never really knew each other. Five years later while they were attending different schools Michael decided to reach out to Courtney and ask her out on a date. Courtney wasn’t too sure about reconnecting but decided she would give Michael a shot. They went out on a first date to play soccer golf at Rolandia and then went out for pizza. They talked for 3 hours while Michael started to win Courtney’s heart over. From the day they started dating Michael began to write love letters to Courtney every day. He gave her his final letter on the Brooklyn Bridge where he asked her to marry him. We have so enjoyed getting to know Courtney and Michael and felt so honored to capture their special day. We wish them so much love, adventure, and happiness in their new life together. Also, a big shout out to all the amazing wedding vendors who helped make this beautiful day happen.
