We are so excited to share the photos from a collaboration between four other amazing Kentucky wedding vendors and us. The idea and the flowers for the styled shoot came from Jessica Jones the owner of Blooms ‘n Blossoms in Georgetown, Kentucky. Jenn Abney with the Event Barn at Evan’s Orchard in Georgetown, Kentucky coordinated the gorgeous location for us. The “Lilly” wedding dress designed by Hayley Paige was provided by Ty Slone McBrayer the owner of Twirl Boutique in Lexington, Kentucky. The makeup and hair was done by Camilla Grossman the owner of the Birdcage Makeup Studio in Lexington, Kentucky. Last but not least we want to thank the beautiful Danielle Chanda for modeling for us and enduring the cold weather that day. We also want to thank Jessica’s daughter Hannah for being our junior bridesmaid and Ty’s daughter Clare for being our flower girl. We were so honored and excited to be invited to join such an amazing team! 
Here is the back story from Jessica Jones about her inspiration for wanting to do this styled shoot. “For years, I’ve watched the beauty unfold at Evans Orchard…that includes the delicate, blooming trees, the growing business of the Orchard, the lifelong friendship of the Evans family and most recently, the gorgeous event barn. Jenny had the idea of turning the old tobacco barn into a wedding barn. She and I had lunch together and talked about it often. Brainstorming girlfriends…even a secret Pinterest board pinning away with pretty ideas. I helped Kevan find church pews, and loved watching the barns progress unfold in the summer of 2014. During all of that, my creative soul was busy at work… I knew I wanted to do something spectacular there.
The inspiration for the shoot came during that summer of watching the old tobacco barn morph into a beautiful, romantic event venue. It was like watching a cocoon turn into a butterfly. I could see the apple blossoms, flowy wedding dresses, bouquets of peonies & garden roses, flower girls….all somehow coming into focus with a fabulous photographer. Something romantic, whimsical, and elegant. I chose my favorite flower…the peony, as the big star of the bouquets. I love pink flowers… but decided we needed to kick it up a notch with yellow garden roses. Yellow screams springtime to me. A mixture of those stems turned into beautiful garden bouquets, baskets and centerpieces.
I’m a big supporter of small & local businesses, and wanted to involve several local vendors. A phone call to Jenn, the event coordinator at the orchard, and the rest fell into place. She is an amazing coordinator! We dodged the wind, the rain, and endured the cold temperatures… a fabulous little dream team! Camilla Grossman shares her thoughts on what went into the hair and makeup for the styled shoot: “As a child I read a book called Flower Fairies of the Garden. I loved it. The colors of the flowers were so beautiful. As an artist color is most often my inspiration. And, especially with bridal makeup. When working with a bride I always want to know about the colors of the flowers because quite often I tie them into the makeup. Such was the case for the shoot at Evans Orchard. Her makeup was inspired by the colors of the flowers and the majesty of Evans Orchard. I brought in eyeshadows to maximize the color of our models eyes and tie in with the flowers. Her skin I wanted to look radiant much like a bride does on wedding day with her skin looking as if lit from within. Her hair was loose and flowing befitting both the model and the setting.
