Vow Renewal in the Countryside at Spindletop Hall in Lexington, Kentucky

Katie and Scott had a small wedding last year with their immediate family and a few friends due to covid. So this year, they decided to celebrate again with all their loved ones by doing a vow renewal and reception at Spindletop Hall in Lexington, Kentucky. Katie wore her gorgeous silk dress, and her bridesmaids wore long green dresses. Their bouquets were filled with stunning flowers in different colors of red, pink, and orange. Scott and his groomsmen looked handsome in their classic black tuxes and white shirts with a black bowtie. Katie and Scott choose to have their vow renewal and reception outside on the lawn overlooking the gorgeous grounds. We took Katie and Scott out for sunset to celebrate their special day. We have loved getting to know them these past few years and capturing this part of their love story.

Katie and Scott’s first date was at a south beach-themed restaurant. They immediately bonded over their many shared interests and a similar sense of humor. They both love traveling, eating good food, watching movies, cheering on the Nashville Predators hockey team, and discussing economics. On Katie’s birthday weekend, Scott planned a trip to Atlanta, where she was born, and near where her best friend lives now. Scott tricked Katie about where they were staying and surprised her when they rolled up to a beautiful lake-front resort. Katie thought this surprise was all for her birthday, even right up to the moment that Scott walked her down to the lake-front and showed her an elaborate set-up with a blazing fire pit and Adirondack chairs with cozy blankets. Even the flowers arranged in a heart shape and bottle of champagne cooling on ice didn’t tip her off; she still thought this was all a birthday surprise. It wasn’t until Scott got down on one knee that Katie finally realized what was going on! Katie, of course, said, Yes! We are so happy for Katie and Scott and wish them a lifetime of love, happiness, and adventure. Congratulations again, you two!
