Spring Engagement Photos at Shaker Village in Harrodsburg, KY

Monika and Colt’s engagement session was at Shaker Village in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, on a gorgeous spring day. We loved getting to explore the beautiful countryside with Monika and Colt and celebrating their engagement. These two are the sweetest, and we loved getting to hear their love story.

Monika and Colt met online but not in the traditional way of online dating. Instead, they met on Twitter. They noticed they were replying to the same threads for weeks and decided to start talking through DMs. Months later, they exchanged numbers and continued to talk. A year later, Colt flew to Lexington to meet Monika to have their first date at Pinot’s Palettes. Obviously, sparks happened, and they fell in love. Some of their favorite things to do together are cooking and traveling.

In October of 2019, they went on a seven-day Caribbean Cruise on the Allure of the Seas. After dinner one night, as they walked through Central Park, they saw one of the photographers on the ship and asked to take some photos. Just as Monika and Colt finished, he asked the photographer if he could take one more. At that moment, Monika’s gut told her, this it, he’s going to propose. Colt got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. We are so excited for Monika and Colt and can’t wait to celebrate with them this May as they say, “I do.” Stay tuned for their wedding day love story!
