Morgan and Scott’s wedding was at the Barn at McCall Springs in Lawrenceburg, KY, on a beautiful fall day. Morgan looked gorgeous in her long sleeve lace wedding dress. Her bridesmaids wore long purple dresses, and their bouquets were filled with sunflowers. Scott and his groomsmen looked handsome in their grey suits and purple ties. Scott and Morgan were married outside overlooking a lake with a fountain surrounded by the open countryside. Their reception followed in a barn dressed in drapery, chandeliers, and a beautiful stone fireplace. The tables were decorated with pumpkins, lanterns, and sunflowers. We loved celebrating Morgan and Scott’s special day. For sunset, we took them out for some romantic portraits celebrating this sweet couple and their special day. We have loved getting to know Morgan and Scott this year and capturing their wedding day love story.
Their love story first began three years ago during a big snowstorm, Morgan and Scott were hanging out together with their mutual friends in the dorm. Morgan saw Scott from across the room and thought wow, he is cute! She went ahead and decided to make the first move by walking over and sitting next to him to talk. Morgan’s pick up line was, “If you take me to do doughnuts in your truck, I will buy you some actual doughnuts.” They started to hang out more and more together with their mutual friends. One night they were all hanging out in an old basement. As all their friends started to leave, and it ended up just being the two of them left. The song “Thinking out Loud” came on and they started to slow dance. It was the first time they had slow danced together. Together they would go on library dates since they were both very busy but always wanted to spend time together. Scott knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Morgan. Their third anniversary happened to be on a Sunday that they were becoming members of their church. After church, they went to his parent’s house just as they always do for lunch. Morgan was not anticipating a proposal because Scott had said a few things to throw her off. So she changed out of her dressy church clothes and into some old leggings and a baggy t-shirt and sweatshirt. Not long after Tippy came running in the house because Scott had just let him out. He told Morgan to check is bandana because he thought something was on it. Morgan knew right away that this was the moment. She looked down at the bandana and saw a ring. Morgan was so thrown off that she had to ask if it was an engagement ring or a promise ring. Scott then proceeded to ask Morgan to marry him. Scott’s Mom reminded him to get down on one knee. Morgan, of course, said, Yes! Morgana and Scott are so perfect for each other and we couldn’t be happier for them. We want to wish them many years of love, happiness, and adventure. Congratulations you two!
