Tommy and Mary’s wedding was on a beautiful fall day in downtown Lexington, Kentucky at the Apiary. Mary looked stunning in her gorgeous strapless wedding dress. Her bridesmaids were dressed in long, mismatched dresses and their bouquets were filled with white flowers and greenery. Tommy and his groomsmen looked dapper in their navy suits. The stunning gardens in the Apiary were the perfect place to take photos and celebrate Mary and Tommy’s special day. Their ceremony was under a white tent with a large chandelier. Mary and Tommy’s reception followed in a large hall with tall windows and a skylight. The tables were dressed in grey tablecloths and decorated with white flowers, greenery, and tall centerpieces. Mary and Tommy exited their wedding surrounded by their family and friends holding sparklers. They rode off with their wedding party on the Big Blue Peddler celebrating their amazing day. It was such an honor to get to know Tommy and Mary and capture their wedding day love story. We want to wish them a lifetime of love, happiness, and adventure. Thank you so much for choosing us to capture your special day.
Their love story first began at Greenbrier Country Club. Tommy was The Head Gold Pro, and Mary was a member. They became friends while playing in the annual Kentucky Pro-Lady Golf Tournament. After the tournament, they started to play together regularly. They soon realized that they shared a lot in common, and their friendship soon turned into a relationship. Their first dates involved playing golf together and cooking in. Together, they love being outdoors, golfing, hiking, camping, biking, and skiing. Pretty much anything they can do to compete together is fun. Mary and Tommy also love low key nights involving their favorite shows in the evenings and cuddling on the couch. Tommy proposed on a scenic overlook in the Red River Gorge. When they arrived at the spot, it required them to jump a 3-foot crevasse. Mary insisted that it was more like 6 feet and didn’t want to jump. Tommy convinced her it would be worthwhile. She finally made the leap, and then Tommy got down on one knee proposed. Mary, of course, said, Yes!
