Outdoor Summer Wedding at the Event Barn at Evans Orchard in Georgetown, Kentucky

Kaylen and David were married on a beautiful Saturday in May at the Event Barn at Evan Orchard in Georgetown, Kentucky. Kaylen looked beautiful in her lace dress with a sweetheart top. Her ladies wore blush and mint dresses and cowgirl boots. Their bouquets were handmade and filled with an assortment of cream, blush and mint flowers. David looked dapper in his white shirt, grey pants, and mint tie. His groomsmen wore mint and blush ties with suspenders. Kaylen and David were married out in the country overlooking the orchard. Their guests sat in old wooden church pews. For their unity ceremony, they both poured rum into a barrel that they will drink a year later on their anniversary. Kaylen and David’s reception followed in the Event Barn at Evans Orchard. Inside the tables were decorated with painted bottles and dressed in colors of mint, blush, and gold. The cake was made by one of David’s groomsmen. For sunset, we went out into the orchard and even found a field full of yellow flowers. Kaylen and David are both full of so much joy and love for each other. We were so honored to capture their love story and are so excited as they celebrate their newly married life together.

Kaylen and David met at their residence hall at Sullivan University in Louisville, Kentucky. Kaylen had already lived their for 3 months when David moved in to start pharmacy school. They started off as friends and went on their first date to IHOP at 1:30 am. Kaylen had a bad day and was avoiding studying for a test and so they decided to get pancakes instead. As they dated David knew that he wanted to ask Kaylen a special question. They went to visit Kaylen’s family in Tennessee for New Years and attend a Tennessee Titans game. It was negative 5 degrees and they were running late but decided to stop for a photo at the end zone before going to their seats. Kaylen and her sister stopped to take a photo when out of the corner of her eye David was down on one knee. Everyone around them was watching and David froze….literally and vocally! Kaylen, of course, said yes! We want to wish Kaylen and David a lifetime of love, happiness, and adventure. We have absolutely loved getting to know them this year.
