Kristen and Scott’s wedding was on a beautiful sunny fall day at Talon Winery in Lexington, Kentucky. Kristen looked gorgeous in her lace long sleeve lace dress. Her girls wore long navy dresses and their bouquets were filled with white and purple flowers. Scott and his guys looked dapper in their navy tuxes. Their ceremony took place out in the vineyard overlooking the countryside. It was the perfect spot for a romantic ceremony. Kristen and Scott’s reception followed in the barn filled with white lights. The tables were dressed in white table cloths and were decorated with wood centerpieces and flowers. We loved taking Kristen and Scott out for sunset to celebrate their special day. They had the most beautiful golden sunset. The rest of the night was spent dancing and celebrating with family and friends. We have loved getting to know Kristen and Scott this year and are so excited for them as they start this new journey in their love story.
Kristen and Scott met during the summer of 2013 at their church’s college Sunday school class. Scott was a junior and Kristen was a freshman at the University of Kentucky. The following year they were both together in weekly Bible studies, a mission trip, and multiple outings with their college friends. Kristen and Scott attended a UK/Georgia football game together. After the game, they went for a walk through UK’s campus and then out to dinner. Afterward, Kristen realized that Scott had just taken her out on their first date. On a warm Sunday in November Kristen and Scott were leaving lunch with their parents and some family friends. Since it was a beautiful day out they decided to go to the Arboretum for a walk. On the way, Scott stopped to fill up his car with gas to stall a little bit. He wanted to give his parents enough time to set up some candles and photos he had made. Once they arrived at the Arboretum they started walking towards the wooden arch where Scott’s parents were hiding nearby. Kristen started to wonder if something was up. They turned the corner and started walking towards the arch. Once they were under the arch Scott dropped down to one knee and asked Kristen to marry him. She, of course, said yes! We feel so honored that Kristen and Scott chose us to capture their special day. We wish them many years of love, happiness, and adventure.
