Alicia and Brandon’s wedding was at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. Buffalo Trace is known for it’s historic buildings and it’s Kentucky Bourbon. It was the perfect place for Alicia and Brandon’s family and friends to share their special day with them! Alicia looked gorgeous is her two-piece wedding gown. The top was lace and the bottom attached with a flowing skirt. Her girls wore short blue dresses and their bouquets were filled with white and red flowers. The guys wore khaki vests and jeans. Alicia and Brandon’s ceremony was outside in the garden behind the clubhouse. During their ceremony, it started to rain. They didn’t let it get them down but instead enjoyed the moment. Their reception followed in the clubhouse. The tablecloths were decorated with bourbon bottles and wood centerpieces. For the reception, Alicia took off her long skirt to reveal that her lace top was actually a short dress with red accents in the skirt. She danced the night away with family and friends in her tall cowgirl boots.
Brandon and Alicia met at Georgetown College the first week that Alicia had moved from California. Brandon started the women’s lacrosse program and so he became Alicia’s main point of contact since she was building the Acrobatics & Tumbling program from scratch. At the time they were both adamant about not dating a co-worker. They started hanging out together on official work business. One day they decided to go to the Louisville State Fair together for a non-work related hang out. It was the start of the beginning of something special. Brandon started planning to propose to Alicia two months before so that he could coordinate with all of the special people in Alicia’s life. They went to Elk Creek Winery for a wine tasting with some of their friends. At the end of the tour, they came to the wine cave where everyone took a photo in front of a huge wine barrel. When it came time for Alicia and Brandon to take a photo Alicia’s friend turned her around to fix her hair. When she turned around Brandon was down on one knee holding the ring. Alicia was in shock and couldn’t believe that Brandon had been able to be so sneaky. The engagement ring is an heirloom that has been in Brandon’s family for over 100 years. We had so much fun celebrating their special day. They are both such a sweet and fun couple. We wish them many years of love, happiness, and adventure.
