Fall Engagement Session at Henry Clay High School, Ashland Estate, and Downtown Lexington, KY

Janet and Kevin’s engagement session started off where it all began. These two high school sweethearts met at their local high school on the bus. They wanted to revisit memory lane and take some special photos at Henry Clay High School. Kevin and I (Anna) both being Henry Clay Alumni also loved revisiting the halls which we once walked. Next, we visited Ashland The Henry Clay Estate where the fall colors were starting to change beautifully. Janet and Kevin are both local attorneys and so we ended the night downtown looking over the square and old courthouse. We had so much fun with Janet and Kevin reminiscing about high school and hearing all about their wedding next summer at The Apiary and Limestone Hall. We can’t wait to capture their special day!

Like we said Janet and Kevin both rode the same bus on the way to Henry Clay High School. Their first date was going to see Pirates of the Caribbean. Janet remembers Kevin’s mom driving them because they were both too young to drive at the time. As their love grew and they both went to college and law school Kevin decided it was finally time to ask Janet a special question. Kevin told Janet that their boss, Jason who had acquired his pilot’s license. Jason needed to practice his takeoffs and landings with multiple passengers. So Janet agreed to help Jason out and they met him at the airport. As they got in the air Jason asked Kevin if he could see a cool thing on the golf course. Janet kept looking for “that cool thing” but assumed it was some kind of golf thing that she couldn’t see. Kevin had painted “Marry Me?” on his parent’s basketball court and proposed to Janet in the sky! Of course, Janet said YES! We are so excited to share some of our favorite photos from their engagement session with you all. Be sure to check back next summer to see the rest of their love story unfold.
