Kiley and Matt’s engagement session was on a gorgeous summer night at the Arboretum in Lexington, KY. The Arboretum is a very special place for Kiley and Matt and is where they have spent many special moments together. It is known for its lush gardens and beautiful dog-friendly walking trails where they love to take their dogs. Matt also made it even more special by asking Kiley to marry him in the romantic forest.
Matt decided that he wanted to make their dogs a part of this special moment and so he asked Kiley if she wanted to go for a walk. As they walked down the path Matt stopped at the spot he had picked out and asked Kiley if their dog had a new dog tag. Kiley had no idea what was going on but the dogs were quickly aware of people hiding in the forest haha. As she bent down she saw that the front of the tag said “Kiley” and the back said, “Will You Marry Me.” Matt quickly grabbed the ring box out of one of the dog’s packs and he pulled out the ring. Matt already down on one knee asked Kiley to marry him to which she happily replied yes!
We had so much fun getting to know Kiley and Matt more and celebrate their engagement session by reminiscing about their proposal. Kiley looked gorgeous in her long blush dress and Matt looked handsome in his gray suit and Kentucky blue tie. We took them back to the special spot where he proposed. Except for this time, we were talking about wedding planning and not hiding behind trees. As the sun set, we took them to a gorgeous field of yellow wildflowers. It was the perfect place to capture their love. Make sure to click the link at the bottom of the blog to read their full proposal story and see more photos!
