Summer Wedding at The Kentucky Horse Park and Broadway Christian Church

Claire and Clay were married on a gorgeous day in June at Broadway Christian Church in Lexington, Kentucky. Claire was beautiful in her Maggie Sottero dress from Bridal and Formal. The dress had a sweetheart top layered with lace and long sleeves. Clay looked handsome in his gray suit and green polka dot tie. Clay and Claire shared a private moment for their first look at Gratz Park. Their Ceremony at Broadway Christian Church was filled with natural light and large stain glass windows. The bridesmaids were pretty wearing gray mismatched style dresses along with their bouquets that were filled with peonies, ranunculus, roses, and greenery while the groomsmen looked dapper in their navy blue suits.

The reception was held in a large white tent lit with gold chandeliers at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. The tables were filled with antique oil lanterns, books, and tea cups. Outside of the tent were yard games for their guests to enjoy throughout the evening. As the sun set, we took Claire and Clay to a romantic spot in a small little forest with an old stone staircase. It was the perfect way for them to reflect on their wedding day and the love that they have for each other.

Every month Clay makes Claire a playlist on Spotify because of her tendency to listen to too much Taylor Swift. He says it is to help her branch out and educate her on all the amazing music out there. In October instead of a normal playlist, Clay used song titles to write a narrative. It started with “Claire” by Jimmy Eat World and ended with the song “Will You Marry Me?” by Lenny Kravitz. He had her flip through them in the car revealing the message and then asked her to marry him. The engagement ring was very special because Clay used a diamond from Claire’s Grandmother’s ring. To read more about their love story make sure to click the link at the bottom of the page to see their engagement session. Also, we want to give a big shoutout to all the amazing vendors who made this day so spectacular. Make sure to see the creative team listed at the bottom of the blog. We wish Claire and Clay many years of love, happiness, and adventure.
