Gorgeous Spring Engagement Session at the Arboretum in Lexington, KY

Claire and Clay’s engagement session was at the Arboretum in Lexington, KY on a gorgeous spring day. All of the trees were filled with blooms and flowers could be seen all throughout the Arboretum. We could see right from the start just how smitten they are with each other. We had so much fun exploring the Arboretum and hearing about their sweet puppy and their new downtown home. Claire looked beautiful in her green dress and Clay looked dapper in his navy blazer. Claire and Clay are such a joy to be around and we couldn’t be more excited about their wedding this summer.

Claire and Clay met on Tinder. His profile said that he was a Civil Engineer and dog enthusiast. Claire’s profile picture was of her sitting in a pile of golden retrievers. So I guess you could say that it was destiny. They decided to meet at West Sixth Brewing to get to know each other. It went so well that they decided to have an official first date at the Grey Goose. Every month Clay makes Claire a playlist on Spotify because of her tendency to listen to too much Taylor Swift. He says it is to help her branch out and educate her on all the amazing music out there. In October instead of a normal playlist, Clay used song titles to write a narrative. It started with “Claire” by Jimmy Eat World and ended with the song “Will You Marry Me?” by Lenny Kravitz. He had her flip through them in the car revealing the message and then asked her to marry him. The engagement ring was very special because Clay used a diamond from Claire’s Grandmother’s ring. We are so excited for them and can’t wait to celebrate with them on their wedding day. Come back to blog later this summer to see the rest of their love story unfold.
