We would like to introduce you to wedding florist Jessica Jones who is the owner of Blooms ‘n Blossoms based in Georgetown, Kentucky. She specializes in full service fresh flower weddings and also pick up weddings. On top of the flowers, Jessica also has an extensive selection of rental items including vases, lanterns, candle holders, chandelier and other items available for her wedding clients. Here is a little background from Jessica about how she got started in this industry: “Years ago, I would raid my grandmother’s zinnia garden. She had the prettiest wine colored zinnias in the land. I’d mix whatever else I could find…weeds, daisies, etc into a bouquet and dress her dinner table with a vase of flowers each time I’d visit. My love of flowers was planted in that zinnia garden. I didn’t realize I’d fall in love with wedding design until I began teaching floral design as part of my teaching assignments as an agriculture teacher. From there, my love of all things flowery continued to be cultivated.” Over the last 15 years she has designed weddings for family and friends but decided in 2012 to start doing it full time. Here is what Jessica said she loves most about her job: “When I hand a bride her bouquet, and I see the tears and hear the squeals…that makes my hard work totally worth it.” Jessica only accepts a limited amount of weddings & events each weekend, so be sure to reserve her as soon as possible.
