Summer Red River Gorge Wedding at Hemlock Springs in Rogers, KY

If rain on your wedding day is a sign of good luck than Andrew and Casey will be overflowing with it. Their wedding was at the beautiful Hemlock Springs in the Red River Gorge in Rogers, KY. Hemlock Springs was the perfect place for them to get married because of their love for the outdoors and adventurous hearts. Casey looked gorgeous in her wedding dress and cathedral veil. Her girls wore long blush dresses. Andrew and his guys looked dapper in their khaki pant and blue button up shirts. Their ceremony was nestled under a canopy of trees in a romantic forest. As the bridal party entered the aisle it started to pour down rain. Casey walked down the aisle with her dad under an umbrella to a gazebo where Andrew was standing underneath. The adventurous couple said their vows in the pouring rain and celebrated by exiting in the thunderstorm. Their reception followed in a beautiful barn lit by a chandelier. Their reception hall was decorated with long farm tables with greenery down the center. Outdoor games were scattered around the venue for guests to have fun. As the rain started to clear up we took Casey and Andrew out for some romantic portraits to celebrate their special day.

Andrew and Casey had known each other for years while working on campus at EKU’s Adventure Programs. They spent a lot of time together in the same friend group but had always been in separate relationships. Around the same time, they both went through heartbreak. They started to get to know each other on a deeper level but were skeptical since they had just both gotten out of a relationship. Andrew and Casey’s feelings began to grow for each other and they found themselves falling for each other very fast. It wasn’t until New Years Eve that they finally had a conversation expressing interest in one another and started to talk about their plans for the future. From the beginning, Casey and Andrew could see God throughout their relationship and realized that God had chosen them perfectly for each other. Andrew knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Casey. So he wrote a murder mystery for their friends and family in October. Everyone arrived in character. Casey was Marie Rothschild, wife to Able (Andrew) Rothschild who surprisingly was the one “murdered”. They ate dinner and went through four series of clues to try to solve the mystery of who killed Marie’s husband Able and why. The last clue left Casey picking up a big box and bringing it to Andrew privately downstairs. It was there that Andrew proposed and of course Casey said Yes! When they went back upstairs to announce the news to their family and friends a surprise engagement party awaited them. Casey and Andrew are absolutely perfect for each other and we feel so honored that they chose us to capture their special day at Hemlock Springs.
