Summer Engagement Session at the Barn at Springhouse Gardens in Nicholasville, KY

Chris and Tabby’s engagement session was at the beautiful Barn at Springhouse Garden’s in Nicholasville, Kentucky. The grounds are stunning with gardens, an old white tobacco barn, and vintage decor. Chris and Tabby brought their sweet dog all dressed up to celebrate their engagement. We had so much fun exploring the beautiful grounds at Springhouse Gardens and hearing all about Chris and Tabby’s love story.

Tabby and Chris both attended the same middle and high school. Chris was on the football team and Tabby was in the choir so their paths never really crossed. During their senior year, they were both two of the three seniors to be on crutches at the beginning of the year. They both attended college but still never really knew each other. They became friends through a mutual friend and began dating their junior year of college. Their first date was at the Tator Knob Rescue Tower. They climbed to the top where they talked for hours and lost track of time. It started to get a little chilly so they went to Pops BBQ in Morehead. Ironically they ran into Chris’ boss and his wife. The sweet couple ordered Chris and Tabby dessert telling them that someone had done the same for them on their first date and they had been together ever since. Tabby and Chris plan on keeping the sweet tradition for other couples.

Tabby wanted to take a Christmas card picture with Chris so they headed back to Tator Knob where they had their first date. Tabby was hoping Chris would propose but when they got to the edge of the cliff he did not. As they headed back down their photographer asked them to get some photos of them walking down the trail with the leaves and the trees. All of a sudden Chris fell to one knee and asked Tabby to marry him. Afterwards, they met their friends for dinner to celebrate! We are so excited to celebrate with them next year at Jordan Hill Farms in Richmond, KY.
