Summer Wedding at the Charred Oaks Inn and St. Leo Catholic Church in Versailles, KY

Kristen and Kyle were married on a gorgeous September day in Versailles, KY. They started their day out at the romantic Charred Oaks Inn. Kristen looked stunning in her lace wedding dress. Her girls were dressed in long eggplant dresses and their bouquets were filled with roses, lisianthus, clematis and Perle Von Nurnberg succulents, and eucalyptus. Kyle and his groomsmen looked dapper in their gray suits. The groomsmen wore eggplant vests while Kyle wore a classic white vest and tie. Kyle and Kristen shared an intimate first look back behind the Charred Oaks Inn in a secluded little forest. Their ceremony soon followed at St. Leo Catholic Church. It was a special place for Kristen because it was the church she had grown up in. Following the ceremony, we went out behind the church into a field and took some romantic sunset portraits. It was the perfect way to celebrate their love and new life together. As the sun set, we headed back into the reception hall. The tables were dressed in white and eggplant tablecloths. Each table had a glittering gold table runner and a beautiful centerpiece of flowers that matched the bride and bridesmaid bouquets.

These two high school sweethearts officially met in biology class and became friends. Kyle asked Kristen to his senior prom which led to their 9-year journey of love, laughter, smiles, and kisses. Kristen had no idea that Kyle had already asked her dad’s permission for her hand in marriage and when no one was looking he slipped an engagement ring into the bottom of her stocking. When she pulled out the box she started crying and Kyle proposed in front of her family. Kyle was able to surprise everyone making it so special to Kristen.
