Summer Wedding at the Mansion at Griffin Gate in Lexington, KY

Chad and Melissa were married at The Mansion at Griffen Gate in Lexington, Kentucky. Their wedding was full of southern charm with blush and white. We were in love with Melissa’s gorgeous bouquet from Blooms ‘n Blossoms filled with magnolia, bay, freesia, peonies, roses and cotton. The blush bridesmaid dresses were beautiful with all the mismatched styles. Melissa looked stunning in her wedding dress from Twirl and Chad looked handsome in his classic vest and white shirt. One of our favorite details about their wedding was the cotton they used throughout their bouquets and boutonnieres. Their ceremony and reception was held in an old historic mansion filled with chandeliers and lit fireplaces. Chad and Melissa’s wedding was so romantic and the perfect way for all of their out of town guests to experience a southern Kentucky wedding. We loved driving the golf carts around the Griffin Gate Marriott and it’s stunning grounds filled with lakes and bridges. We took Chad and Melissa to do some romantic bride and groom photos at sunset to reflect on the love they have for each other and their special day.

Melissa and Chad met through a mutual friend. On their first date, they went out to dinner and ended up talking for hours. Chad planned a vacation which involved all of Melissa’s favorite things. They went to a Green Bay Packer’s game, swam with manatees, and even went to Universal Studios to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. After swimming with the manatees Chad took Melissa to a nearby beautiful gazebo. He went down on one knee and asked Melissa to marry him.
