Super Fun Couple’s Session at The Big Rock Amusements Fair in Lexington, KY

When we found out the fair was in town we got pretty excited! We had an amazing time with Logan and Amanda during their couple’s session. The fair was filled with fun colors, junk food, and nostalgia from childhood memories. It was the perfect place to capture some special moments between Logan and Amanda. These college sweethearts have now been married for two years. What a better way to celebrate than with a fun photo shoot.

Amanda and Logan met in their organic chemistry class. Amanda was nervous because it was her first class of the semester after transferring schools. In class, she realized that she had forgotten her pencil and asked Logan if she could borrow one. When Logan turned around he quietly handed her a pencil. Amanda felt dumb that she forgot a pencil on the first day of class and so she brought a whole pack to bring to the next class. It turns out the Logan was really thinking, “Who is this gorgeous girl who just transferred and what can I say to her?” Their group of friends started hanging out together and several weeks later they started dating.

On New Year’s Eve of their senior year of college, Logan went to Amanda’s apartment to pick her up for a party. When he arrived he had something covered which Amanda thought was a Christmas Tree. Instead, when she opened it up it was a statue of the Eiffel Tower. Amanda had been to Paris and told Logan that she really wanted to go back one day to this romantic city. Amanda thought that it was a sweet anniversary present until she saw the picture of the moon taped to the front. She remembered when Logan first told her that he loved her by having her look through a telescope at the moon. The words I love you were written on the glass of the telescope. Logan asked her to turn the picture of the moon over which revealed, “And for all the anniversaries to come…”. Then he officially asked Amanda to marry him and of course, she said yes. They went to the party and celebrated, showing off the ring to all of their friends.

They were married on May 26, 2015, at the Renee’s Event Center in Paducah, KY. They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony and spent their honeymoon in Key West, Florida. Their love for anything outdoors, such as hiking and kayaking, reading books, site-seeing, and visiting new restaurants make them a perfect pair. Amanda and Logan’s session at the fair was so much fun and we are so excited to share some of our favorites from it.
