Matt and Kiersten’s winter engagement session was on a warm sunny day in February at Keeneland Racecourse in Lexington, KY. They both knew that Keeneland would be the perfect place for their engagement session because of their love for horses and the outdoors. Kiersten and Matt also brought along their two really cute dogs. We had so much fun capturing the adorable moments that happened between them!
Before Matt and Kiersten had actually met, they used to smile at each other when their paths crossed. They both had a crush on one another but were too nervous to talk to each other. Matt was the one who finally worked up the courage to meet Kiersten. He sent her a message and asked if they would like to meet. The first time that they met Kiersten was so nervous that she grabbed a handful of orange juice while he walked down the aisle in the grocery store. Matt said as soon as he laid his eyes on her he knew she was the one for him. Their first date was at one of Kiersten’s favorite Mexican restaurants, Los Dos Amigos. Afterward, Matt took Kiersten to his family’s farm where they sat around a campfire and looked at the stars.
On Kiersten’s birthday, Matt planned for all of her friends and family to get together at Columbia Steakhouse in Lexington, KY. To her surprise, Matt dropped down to one knee at the restaurant and asked her to marry him. Immediately she started crying and tried to say yes, but was so happy and shocked she couldn’t speak. So she shook her head yes and he placed the ring on her finger and hugged and kissed him. Afterward, all of her family and friends came out to congratulate them.
