WELCOME TO KEVIN AND ANNA'S WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY BLOG

Our story began at a local rock climbing gym, where we met and quickly fell for each other. Our love for rock climbing, hiking & the great outdoors made us a perfect match.

Our wedding took place in 2012 at Lost River Cave in Bowling Green, Kentucky. We cherish our wedding photos and all of the amazing moments that our photographer captured for us. Our passion is to do the same for you. We understand the magnitude and importance of capturing your wedding day because it only happens once.

We love being wedding photographers and want to provide you with the most satisfying experience possible, ensuring that you enjoy your time with us and have fun in the process. We have photographed over 150 weddings together in the past 11 years.

You’re Engaged! 5 Things You Must Do Next to Plan Your Dream Wedding!

Surprise engagement proposal at Wildside Winery in Versailles, Kentucky. Photos by Kevin and Anna Photography www.kevinandannaweddings.comYou’re engaged, and you couldn’t be more excited! I can still remember the excitement after Kevin asked me to marry him. Since the moment we met I knew that he was the one, and I couldn’t dream of anything other than our fairytale life and wedding. When reality hit I quickly realized that planning a wedding was a lot harder than I thought it would be. After planning my own wedding and photographing many gorgeous weddings here are some tips that  I have discovered. My hope is that they will help you plan your special day and make the process easier for you.

1. FIGURE OUT YOUR BUDGET

It is so easy to get caught up in everything that you want for you wedding that you don’t think about what it might cost. The worst thing that you want to do for your future marriage is to start it off with a financial burden. So make sure to set a budget and stick to it.

After you decide how much money you are going to spend on your wedding make sure to pick out the three most important vendors to you and your fiancé. This is different for everyone. For me, it was the venue, dress, and the photographer. If push came to shove and I had to change my budget around.  I wanted to make sure that I wouldn’t have to make a sacrifice on the things that were most important to me.

3. PLAN AND DO YOUR RESEARCH BUT THEN BOOK QUICKLY

Make sure to match your style and personality to the vendors you hire. It is really important to book professionals that are going to take care of you on your wedding day. A lot of people plan their wedding a year or more in advance so dates tend to fill up very quickly for popular vendors. There are so many amazing resources out there to help you plan your special day. Make sure to check out the blog we did on Simply Love Studio by clicking here. IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS

My favorite thing about walking into the reception hall is seeing all the amazing thought and detail that a bride has put into her wedding. Details are what make the photos from a wedding come alive. They not only tell the story of your special day but also showcase your personality and who you are as a couple. You can check out all kinds of blogs we have done featuring a variety of different weddings from all over Kentucky. This well help you jump start your imagination and get the wheels turning. It’s the one day in your life to live like a fairy tale. So live it up! Climb a mountain, jump in the ocean…well maybe not, but do something fun and work with your photographer to create some amazing once in a lifetime images for you and your fiancé.Epic Red River Gorge bride and groom portrait session on Auxier Ridge.
