Cameron Tinker started his baking career as a cake decorator 20 years ago. After working in all fields of the baking industry he discovered he enjoyed cake decorating the most. During his internship in culinary school, he met his wife Tracie while they were both working under the Pastry Chef at the Westin on Hilton Head Island. They both have degrees in Baking and Pastry Arts. After getting married, they decided to move to Lexington due to its location between our two families. They always knew that they were going to open a bakery together. That dream came to fruition when they opened up Tinker’s Cake Shop in 2005. Here is what Cameron said he wanted all couples to know about their business, “I want couples to know that we are very serious about their wedding cake. I’ve decided to focus only on wedding cakes and will do whatever it takes to provide the cake of their dreams.” Cameron Tinker loves what he does and said this is what he loves most about his business, “I love being part a couples biggest day of their lives. To know that they will always remember the cake that they had on their wedding day is an honor.”
