WELCOME TO KEVIN AND ANNA'S WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY BLOG

Our story began at a local rock climbing gym, where we met and quickly fell for each other. Our love for rock climbing, hiking & the great outdoors made us a perfect match.

Our wedding took place in 2012 at Lost River Cave in Bowling Green, Kentucky. We cherish our wedding photos and all of the amazing moments that our photographer captured for us. Our passion is to do the same for you. We understand the magnitude and importance of capturing your wedding day because it only happens once.

We love being wedding photographers and want to provide you with the most satisfying experience possible, ensuring that you enjoy your time with us and have fun in the process. We have photographed over 150 weddings together in the past 11 years.

Talon Winery Weddings and Events based in Lexington, Kentucky

We would like to introduce you to Lauren Manuel the events coordinator at Talon Winery based in Lexington, Kentucky. They are a 300-acre winery nestled amongst some of Kentucky’s finest horse farms. A beautiful country getaway just minutes from the city. Talon Winery has a variety of rustic, country spaces available for weddings and other events. Whether you want indoor, outdoor or somewhere in between, they’ve got a place for you. They also offer a bridal suite located in the Homestead Tasting House. Talon’s Bridal Suite is the ideal place for the bride & her party to prepare for the big day. In addition to hosting weddings and events, Talon Winery also offers wine tastings 7 days a week. You can see a list of all of their current wines available on their website. We absolutely love Talon Winery for its rustic barns, rolling hills, rows of vineyards and the ponds located on the property. We are so excited to take you all on a tour of this amazing wedding venue through our photographs.  Here is a little background on Lauren and how she got involved with the business, “Talon Winery is a family business and I am lucky enough to be part of that family! Since it’s opening in 1999, I’ve been involved with the business in many different ways. As a kid, there was not much I could do in the wine aspect of the business, but I was able to find other ways to be involved. I got to pick grapes during the first harvest and helped out selling shirts and soft drinks at Talon events.”

Once Lauren turned 20 she started working as a bartender and then progressed into becoming the marketing director and now the events coordinator. Here is what Lauren had to say about her current position, “The fact that I have been able to work in many different aspects of the business before becoming the event coordinator has been a real benefit. Since I’ve been able to see events from every angle, I know what works and what doesn’t work or needs some adjustment, not just for the customer, but also for Talon. It helps things go more smoothly for everyone.”

Here is what Lauren said she loves most about her job, “I love being able to work with a variety of different people. I never thought I would be working with some of the people I get to work with on a daily basis and I absolutely love it. The relationships I’ve made with brides, their families & even caterers and other vendors by working in this industry has brought me much happiness.” Lauren would love to give you a tour of Talon Winery to see if it would be a good fit for your wedding or event. All of her contact information can be found at the bottom of the blog.  Talon Winery’s Ca”Barn”et Barrel Barn overlooks the old pond and is the perfect venue for a rustic or country wedding. This 4,800 square foot facility is equipped with concrete floors, heating and air conditioning, indoor restrooms, a full catering kitchen and more. Not to mention all of the beautiful white lights that cover a majority of the barn. The barn also has a large outdoor patio if you want to have some of your reception events outside. There are all kinds of amazing outdoor spaces located nearby where you could have your wedding ceremony with breathtaking views.

Talon also has the Monarch Pavillion which is a unique, open-air pavilion that shares the spacious front yard of the Homestead Tasting Room. The covered seating area is perfect for smaller weddings and events. The pavilion is equipped with indoor restrooms and a full catering kitchen. Add a tent to this facility to create a larger space for your event.

This is what Lauren wants all couples who are planning their upcoming wedding to know about Talon Winery, “We want you to be able to make your wedding YOUR wedding. There is so much potential to put your personal style into the barn and create your dream wedding. Barns are often thought of as a rustic style, which of course, they are, but at Talon, we give you the opportunity to take our facility and turn it into a classic, traditional or even a fairy tale wedding. We provide you with the canvas, you bring the paint and create your ideal wedding.”
