Fall Wedding in the Red River Gorge at the Cliffview Resort in Kentucky

fall-wedding-in-the-red-river-gorge-at-the-cliffview-resort_0019 We were so excited when Charlie and Rachel asked us to photograph their fall wedding in the Red River Gorge at the Cliffview Resort in Campton, Kentucky. The Red River Gorge is like a second home to us and features some of the most beautiful and breathtaking places to take wedding photos in Kentucky. It is world known for climbing, hiking, and arches which made it the perfect romantic destination wedding location for Charlie and Rachel’s friends and family to travel and see them tie the knot.

The Cliffview Resort is nestled on the top of a cliff line in the Red River Gorge. You can see the forest and mountains for miles. On Charlie and Rachel’s wedding day the trees were painted in all kinds of different reds, yellows, and oranges. Rachel’s dress was handmade by her mother who styled it to fit Rachel’s personality beautifully. Their ceremony took place on the back side of the lodge that sits on the edge of a cliff. Their ceremony backdrop overlooked the valley of the forest painted in all kinds of magical fall colors.

Charlie and Rachel were very adventurous with us and hiked all around the Cliffview Resort for their photos. There were so many spectacular backdrops to work with. It was so sweet to be there to witness just how madly in love these two are for each other. Our favorite part of the whole day was when Charlie cried after seeing his beautiful bride for the first time.

The reception followed in the lodge adorned by candlelit tables with fresh flowers in barn wood boxes, bottles of wine and mismatched china. Their desert was to die for with handmade cookies and cakes by Rachel herself. Several of Charlie’s friends played live music throughout the night creating a fun and exciting atmosphere.

Charlie and Rachel we had so much fun spending the day with you and your family. Thank you for being so awesome and adventurous. We wish you many years of love, happiness, and adventure.
