Jalyn & Kelly’s engagement session started off at the University of Kentucky’s Commonwealth Stadium. Kelly is a former football player for UK and served as the team’s long snapper for punts and place kicks for four seasons. In an effort to get more fans and students to come to the games, the football team started a “Adopt a Football Player” campaign with the sororities on campus. Little did Kelly know but his participation in this campaign led to him meeting his future wife. Jalyn was a Delta Zeta which happened to be the sorority that adopted Kelly. He coached their flag football team and although Jalyn wasn’t playing, one of her roommates was. As a result Jalyn would come to the games from time to time. At one of the games Kelly eventually got up the nerve to go and talk to Jalyn. Their first date was dinner at Rafferty’s followed by the movie Super Troopers and ice cream at Graeter’s. After they finished their ice cream they decided to go for a drive out in the country where they discovered an old playground. They ended up talking for hours before Jalyn had to drive back to Corbin, KY. From that moment on, Kelly knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Jalyn. The proposal happened at a cookout that Jalyn’s whole family was there for. Someone suggested that everybody go outside for a group photo. Little did Jalyn know, but Kelly was hiding around the corner waiting for his moment. Once everyone but Kelly was outside, someone yelled for him to come out for the group photo. At that moment Kelly walked around the corner and dropped down on one knee and asked Jalyn to marry him. The moment was so special because Jalyn’s whole family was there including Kelly’s mom and fiancé as well. We are so excited to capture and celebrate their wedding this August at Moonlight Fields Wedding Farm.
